In 1950 Don Blanding realized a dream of his, to make a record album of his poetry. The LP was put out by Tempo Records of Hollywood, California, and included the following poems, read by Blanding himself:

"Vagabond's House"
"Drifter"
"Dreamer"
"Vagabond's Road"
"Names are Ships"
"Baby Street"
"Leaves from My Grass House"
"Driftwood"
"Gold"
"Aloha Oe"
"Footsteps"
"Some Lines Scrawled on the Door of Vagabond's House"

Beautifully descriptive background music was conceived and conducted by Joe Venuti from his original themes and those of the gifted Irma Glen, a personal friend of Blandings. The album was also released in a 78-rpm version with six poems by Blanding. A CD is now available as well.

There are also recordings of other people reading Don Blanding's poetry.
One of the most famous of these is "I Remember Blanding," put out in 1960 by Paul Page and his Paradise Music,  and Don's personal friend, Edythe Hope Genee. It's a tribute to Blanding, which recorded in Hollywood at Spectra-Sound studios.

There are various recordings made by radio personalities who read Blanding poetry on the air, as well as several tapes of Blanding's lectures which were recorded in the late 1950s.
