Let me introduce myself

My name is Keith Emmons, and I've been researching Blanding for eight years now, along with the help of a dedicated core of friends. I can relate to the guy, as I'm a bit of a vagabond myself...and an artist as well. Some of the things I really love about research are the tangents (you end up learning about things you didn't expect to), and also all the folks I've met along the way, who share my love for art, literature, research, and travel.

My wife and I live in Colorado Springs in our own Vagabond's House, and I make a living as a graphic artist. In my spare time I sell vintage Hawaiian sheet music and Blanding books on ebay; and of course do research on Blanding, with the goal of publishing a full-length biography at some point. I'm also compiling life stories of those often forgotton sheet music illustrators of the early nineteenth century.

I have traveled to over twenty countries, worked in many of them, and hope to see alot more. I love to read, draw cartoons & humorous illustrations, do crossword puzzles and watch movies.
